The capital of Mato Grosso do Sul and entry point for tourists heading to the Pantanal.

My suggestion:
Visitors who like small, traditional towns should head to Corumba, a welcoming little place. Actually, everyone should head elsewhere.

Campo Grandeis a big town that has nothing to offer. What's more it's really hot. At least there's one thing you can do about that - frozen beer drinks are on sale at every corner!

Arriving in the center is a bit overwhelming. You'll come here to access one of Brazil's great eco-sites and you'll find yourself landing in a chaotic, urban environment, which is disconcerting to say the least... Fortunately, the trips you can take away from the town make up for first impressions. And it's thanks to the Pantanal, the largest wildlife park in the country, home to a savannah reminiscent of the African plains...So don't worry, you'll be making the right choice by including this stopover during your travels in Brazil.

Most of the tours are sold as packages that include food and lodging. They usually last about three days and typically include a boat trip, horseback ride and nighttime safari. Take care when choosing the agency or fazienda (farm) at which to stay, so as to avoid any nasty surprises. Make the most of your time here - you'll be in an eco-paradise! I do suggest that you check out all the options, you'll find tours and trips that don't follow the typical agenda.

So for the Pantanal - don't miss out on it! For Campo Grande - don't hang around.
