Capital of the Rio Grande do Norte State (in the north-east), Natal is a medium sized town with amazing beaches.

My suggestion:
Infact, the only amazing thing about Natal is its beaches! Apart from them, there's nothing else worth seeing. The town is ugly and has no cultural or historical attractions to write home about. In other words, move on.
Summary:

During a recent road trip along the north-east's beaches, which is a must during a trip to Brazil , Natal was a stop over between the beaches at Pipa and those at Canoa Quebrada and Jericoacoara.

To be honest, we regret stopping at Natal; it was a waste of our time. It has nothing to offer. The Fort of the Three KIngs (a major site, according to our guide) appeared to be a white wall sitting in the sea. Seeing it from afar was enough, we couldn't even be bothered to get close up. Boring, boring, boring...

The only place we hung out in for a while was the Mangai Restaurant, which has a large self-service comida nordestina , Brazilian north-eastern style food and I admit we loved it!

Natal is a large coastal city on the North Eastern edge of Brazil

My suggestion:
Venture into the bustling nightlife of Natal.
Summary:

It is called the "City of the Sun" because it has 300 days of sunshine a year and has become a very important and popular resort of the Brazilian coast.

I found, like most travellers staying in Brazil, the beaches of Natalparticularly beautiful. Indeed, the resort has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the country, making it a popular destination for Brazilian tourists and for those from around the world.

Finally, the city of Natal is very lively, especially in the evening, where you will find a large number of vibrant bars and restaurants. I remember very festive evenings walking the streets of Natal and drinking caipirinha and meeting people of all nationalities.
