A beautiful and accessible waterfall in the south of Iceland.

My suggestion:
Take a raincoat with you and go behind the waterfall!

Seljalandsfoss is a very beautiful waterfall, thin and narrow, situated in the southern part of Iceland and visible from the Ring Road that runs around the country. Suffice it to say that it has become a big attraction for all those passing through there.

Despite the relatively large numbers of people who stop here, I find that it is still a pleasant stopping place. It's a good place for taking some beautiful photos.

In particular, Seljalandsfoss has a recess behind its wide curtain of water, which allows you to go around the waterfall and have a majestic albeit wet view of the surroundings!

Moreover, I think that it is the only waterfall that I have seen during my stays in Iceland where I was able to walk behind the curtain of water! I really loved seeing it again in winter when everything was frozen and the surrounding plants were imprisoned in the ice.
