Reviews of Incahuasi Island

Just 45 minutes from the town of Uyuni, Isla Incahuasi is essentially a hill covered in cacti. From the top, the view of the salt flat's white horizon is superb.

My suggestion:
Go and climb to the top of the island. From above, the white panorama of the salt flat extends as far as the eye can see. Simply wonderful.
Summary:

While on holiday in Bolivia, one of my first stops before crossing the great Salar de Uyuni was at Isla Incahuasi.

In the middle of this vast emptiness rises this huge sort of hill. It's actually a kind of volcanic mountain covered in large cacti. Immediately the summit becomes a magnet. The first thing I thought when I arrived was that maybe I'd be able to see something other than this infinity of whiteness from the top. I'd definitely recommend going and seeing it. Once you get to the top, even if you squint against the cold and strong wind, there's nothing... Nothing but the salt desert until it meets the sky on the horizon.

The feeling you have is already wonderful and that's only after having a glimpse of what awaits you a little further on.
