El Choro is a pre-Columbian trail which connects the Cordillera Real to the tropical rainforest of the Yungas.

My suggestion:
I recommend you do the Choro trek during the austral spring or summer to enjoy better climate conditions and to avoid finding yourself on snowbound trails.
Summary:

El Choro is a portion of the famous Inca Trail, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built by the Tiahuanaco Indians, this historic trail was improved by the Incas and then used by the Spanish settlers. Today, it is much appreciated by hikers.

The Choro trail covers 60 km and connects La Cumbre, located at over 4700 m of altitude, with the village of Chairo, at an altitude of 1200 m. This trek is renowned for the variety of its landscapes. You will discover a succession of snowy peaks, lush vegetation, exotic flowers, suspension bridges, rivers with crystal clear waters, remote villages and wild animals.

While your eyes are busy feasting on the landscape, your legs are telling another story. For three 3 days, the trail leads you from the mountain to the jungle, from the cold to the heat... In short, a fascinating journey in time that is not to be missed if you are a trekking enthusiast on a trip in Bolivia.
