After a freezing night on the banks of Laguna Colorada, you can visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers very early in the morning when they are most active.

My suggestion:
But be very careful, don't get too close to the craters.
Summary:

While on holiday in Bolivia I travelled to the far south, in the middle of nowhere, to the Sol de Mañana Geysers.

You have to get there really early in the morning if you want to admire them while they're most active. Even before arriving on site, you can see large fumaroles in the distance coming out of the ground and climbing high up into the blue sky. It's best to stand a little back from the small craters because they can expel water up to 200°. So I'd advise being really, really careful. People are severely burned every year because they chose to get too close to them. There have even been fatal accidents.

But we won't talk about where you should stand anymore, simply enjoy this fascinating phenomenon in its splendid setting. Take lots of pictures and make a point of remembering this unique place.
