My suggestion

Be aware that you need to reserve a place six months in advance to be able to do the trek along the Inca Trail. You should also be aware that you cannot do this trek without a guide.

My suggestion

The site is reached via a hike. With the Inca Trail the most popular in Peru and having to be booked in advance, I would advise you to do the long version of the equally beautiful Salkantay trek instead.
