Komodo Islandforms part of the small Sunda islands, located in Indonesia between Flores and Sumbawa.

My suggestion:
Go and see the Komodo dragons!
Summary:

Komodo Islandis located at the heart of Komodo National Park, which also includes the charming island of Rinca, as well as other small desert islands with incredible sea beds.

Don't miss going off to explore them with just a mask and a snorkel, or even do an underwater dive. An experience that's unique in the world! The island's scenery is also magnificent and there's a wealth of flora and fauna. It's an island I really loved on my Indonesian trip.

The island isn't very big, approximately thirty kilometres long. It's known above all for the incredible animal which lives there: the Komodo dragon, considered the largest living lizard in the world! It can measure up to three metres long and weigh more than 150kg!

Komodo island is located between the islands of Sumbawa and Flores and is known for its fauna, its spotless beaches and its coral.

My suggestion:
Carefully select the boat that will take you on an excursion to the island and ensure that there are life-jackets, as safety does not seem to be a main concern on these outings.
Summary:

It would almost be an understatement to say that my excursion to Komodo island was one of the most beautiful experiences of my trip to Indonesia . The island, its fauna, its scenery, the experience of being on a boat for two days, my first snorkelling outing... I still marvel at the memory of it.

On the island, I was able to admire the size, the strength and the speed of several Komodo dragons, but I also got a chance to observe water buffalos, birds, monkeys and flying lizards. The view from the heights of the island is also very impressive. As for my first experience of snorkelling on the pink beach, it was absolutely magical: a deserted pink sandy beach, pleasant water, well-preserved coral, multicoloured fish and an encounter with a turtle all turned this into a magical moment.
