Day 1: Arrival in Georgia

Meet at the airport, transfer to a hotel. Overnight at a 4* hotel in Georgia's capital, Tbilisi.

Day 2: Discovering the Capital

Enjoy the day touring the new and old of Tbilisi, including a visit to the golden treasury of the History Museum.

Dine at a local restaurant with traditional dishes before returning to your hotel.

Day 3: Wine Tasting in Sighnaghi

Visit Sighnaghi, a fortified town in the wine province of Kakheti, and explore the local winecellars for your favourite home-made wines. Try "Shoti" bread and make Churchkhela sweets.

After a family lunch with locals who teach you the tradition of "Tamada" (the toastmaster of a feast), continue to a commercial winery before returning to Tblisi.

Day 4: Svetitskhoveli & Local Food

Explore the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Jvari Monastery in Mtskheta. Then journey to Kutaisi for a feast of home-made local dishes.Overnight in a 3* hotel in Kutaisi.

Day 5: Kutaisi's Gelati Monastery & Local Produce

Visit UNESCO-protected Gelati Monastery and Academy.
Afterwards, continue to Racha to taste the Khvanchkhara wine variety and lunch with local dishes – bean soup, bacon from Racha, Shkmeruli.
Return to Kutaisi in late afternoon.

Day 6: Uplistsikhe Cave Town

Visit Uplistsikhe Cave Town which dates back 1,000s of years, and visit the nearby Stalin museum to learn more about one of the 20th Century's most influential peoople.

Drive through the mountains on the famous Georgian Military Highway, stopping at Ananuri castle.

Overnight at a 4* hotel in Gudauri.


Day 7: Gergeti Trinity Church

Transfer to Kazbegi and walk to Gergeti Trinity Church. Return to Tbilisi after lunch for your final night in Georgia.


Day 8: Departure

Early in the morning transfer to the airport and depart home.
