Campos Novos is a town located in the south of Brazil in the state of Santa Catarina, approximately 300 km from Curitiba.

My suggestion:
There is not much of interest but you can always stop in the town centre to admire the colonial architecture of a few of the buildings.
Summary:

Campos Novos is a small Brazilian town located in the state of Santa Catarina, whose capital is the seaside resort of Florianopolis. It has approximately 30,000 inhabitants.

I happened to go through the city of Campos Novos on my way by car to visit an old Brazilian friend. The town didn't make much of an impression on me, though I must admit I only spent a few hours there.

Like its neighbour, Curitiba, Campos Novos is a relatively "cold" town with an average year-round temperature of 18 °C. Most of the inhabitants descend from German and Italian immigrants. The place draws its livelihood from industry and agriculture (cereals). It's worth noting that Campos Novos is renowned for its toboggan races on tarmac!
