My suggestion
Two of the islands are generally recommended if you want to stay in the region: Don Det and Don Khon. Go to the first if you are looking for action and a party atmosphere, and the second for calm and relaxation.
The 4,000 Islands region is unique in the world. It's home to Laotians but also the ideal getaway for enjoying the water and the sun and perfect for those who love walking.

Choose tourist islands such as Don Det and Don Khône, and then take a bike to explore the less well known islands.
The 4,000 Islands are an absolute must see during a trip to Laos ! Surreally beautiful scenery and guaranteed relaxation.
