A wonderful mountain village in Morelos state where chilangos (people who live in Mexico City) love to go to try the famous quesadillas azules at the Sunday market.
My suggestion:
If you are a nature lover then head about 10 kilometres away to Amatlan. There are some wonderful walks there, as well as some atypical places to stay, such as in a wigwam!
Summary:
It was taken over by hippies in the 70s and so the main streets of the village look a bit like a supermarket of alternative medicines. On Sunday the town is heaving as a lot of visitors come from the capital to visit the local handicraft market.
