The trip was very well organised and everything went to plan
The best parts:
We enjoyed the sites, The first hotel was very basic but very friendly and helpful The********** hotel had very friendly staff and lovely rooms, Raul was a great guide, genuinely loved his country and interested in its history. He was very courteous, considerate and informative throughout our travels. He appeared very well read and informed on current affairs generally with a good command of English.
The worst parts:
the travel was not that interesting due to mainly travelling on main roads with no view but understandably needed to cover all of the sites. Raul had to leave us to another guide on the Sunday/Monday who acted as a taxi driver rather than guide, had little command of English, Gave us next to no information at any of the sites we had to read the information at the sites ourselves. She was using her phone to text people at traffic lights and when the lights were green on many occasions we stat at the lights until the text had been sent and drivers behind were annoyed. Unless we tried to make conversation she was silent. I cannot recommend her as a replacement to Raul and it ruined our last two days travels. The Hotel on Holbox was not very friendly, restaurant staff were more interested in the TV than waiting on our table even though the restaurant was not well used in the evening often only a couple of tables use. room was nice but the shower only trickled water and was easier to wash in the sink.

Dear Hilary, Thank you very much for your lovely feedback and for taking the time!! Your feedback is very important as it is the only way for us to improve our service!! We are very happy that you liked Raul!! He really is a lovely and knowledgable guide!! I just forwarded him your feedback and he is really happy about it!! Less good was his replacement and I really want to thank you for letting me know!! To be honest, I did not know that there was a replacement with Miss X until the very last day when you were already in Holbox!! I was not amused and as your case was the second case that was not satisfied with her, so we now decided to definately stop working with her!! Therefore thank you very much for your honest feedback, not only concerning her but also the Hotel in Holbox. We asked the hotel why they did not fix your shower and they menntioned that there was no issue mentionned. It is very imporant to address problems immediatley in order to improve the situation. Right now for us its a little bit difficult to prove that thowards the hotel but we definately took notice!! Thank you also very much for that!! By the way, I agree, on Mexican highways there is not much to see :-) That is true! I am very happy that overall you had a good time in Mexico and that you flew back with many wonderful memories!! Please come back and visit us soon!! All the best to you three wonderful ladies!! Saludos Ivana

Our trip to Mexico was amazing! This was our third trip using Evaneos and by far it has been the best one. All thanks to the local agent in partnership with Evaneos in Mexico, excellent recommendations and costumer service. She was quite accommodating, both before the trip, where she tailored the itinerary to meet our needs and our budget (she even calculated for us a budget per day which turned out to be pretty close to what we ended up spending) and during the trip as well by being in contact with us to check if we were satisfied with our itinerary or if we needed anything. We definitely recommend local agencies in parternship with Evaneos and we will surely go back to Mexico!
The best parts:
We liked pretty much everything about our trip itinerary, the cenotes, archeological sites, hotels, everything!
The worst parts:
The only thing we didn't like was the fact that one of us had Moctezuma revenge for a couple of days.
Ivana
Hola Jorge & Mauro, A HUGE BIG THANK YOU SO SO MUCH ♥! Such excellent feedback - my heart is filled with joy! I am very happy about your kind words and will share them with my team. I was your contact person, but behind me is a group of committed and motivated colleagues, and together we enjoy working together every day to create unique holiday experiences. This type of feedback is the best confirmation of our work! We really hope to welcome you back!!! You definately were travellers and not touristis and this is the best type of customer for us, people that love to experience, discover and feel Mexico!! Thank you so much for that!! Muchas Gracias y muchos saludos desde Mexico !! Ivana & Team

We started in Cancun and drove to Chichen Itza and then on to Merida from where we visited Uxmal and Kabah. After flying to Chihuahua we took the train to Creel and Divisdero with activities in Copper Canyon. A further stop in Cerocahui before continuing by train to El Fuerte before flying to Mexico City for a visit to Teotihuacan and taking in some sites in the City itself
The best parts:
Sindy was great from start to finish and produced an excellent itinerary along the lines of what we asked for and within budget. We saw a lot of Mexico in a short period of time and would certainly consider returning to either repeat certain parts or to spend longer in some destinations. Highlight of the trip was definitely our time spent in Copper Canyon and the train journey which was spectacular
The worst parts:
Some of the pickups were a bit hit and miss which we were prepared for and did not affect or interrupt any of our activities. Wifi in some of the hotels was very poor and in this day and age it is required for a whole range of activities so should be factored in more carefully for customer itineraries.
Ivana
Hi Chris, Thank you so much for your lovely feedback!!! Your pictures are awesome!!! We appreciate very much that you took the time to write us your opinon!! This is very important for future travellers. Yes, unfortunately the transfers did not work out very well. Mexico City is such a jungle, that sometimes drivers get stuck and cannot make punctual pick ups. The Copper Canyon is such a beautiful part of the country but is definately still undevelopped in some areas. For that reason, Wifi can indeed be poor sometimes. You had quite a speedy and very interesting itinerary!! We would love for you to come back and see more of beautiful Mexico!! There is still a lot to do and see!! Wish you all the best and thank you very much for being my clients!! Muchos saludos Sindy

Mexico City was a lively destination and just ramping up for Day of the Dead when we arrived. On our walk down Avenue Paseo de la Reforma, the sidewalks were full of huge, brilliantly painted skulls and fantastical beasts. We loved all that we learned from our guide and were impressed that our guide and driver could get us to a large number of tourist destinations within just four days in such a busy city. The fatigue of being in a big city was buffered by their strategic decision-making. After Mexico City we spent a second week in the Colonial Highlands, Puebla, Quertaro and San Miguel de Allende.
The best parts:
First, Harriett from ***, the Evanoes agency in Mexico, built a trusting relationship with me before the trip and made certain I had 24/7 access to either her cell phone or that of her colleague when we were in Mexico. I also appreciated the very complete nature of the itinerary document she complied and the supporting documents Evanoes sends along with the final itinerary to make sure you travel smart with regards to money, safety, food, healthcare, communications, etc. I loved the hotels that Harriet booked for us and the superb quality of the tour guide she selected, Elvita (who was with us for four days), and our driver (Noe, who stayed with us for two weeks). Besides making the history of Mexico come alive for us, we loved taco night with our tour guide where she introduced us to a new neighborhood and taught us about some of the finest Mezcal and culinary-worthy tacos. The second week, Noe, was our chaperone all through out the countryside and it was easy to spend so much time in his company. As a very experienced driver, he know all the destinations and was a very good driver.
The worst parts:
I can't think of a thing I didn't like! And I consider myself an experienced, older traveler who is accustomed to 4 and 5 star accommodations and fine restaurants.
Charlotte

I’ve passed on your comments to your driver and guide who will also be super happy to hear that you enjoyed your trip with them. Your taco night sounds like a real highlight and I look forward to sharing more of Mexico’s gastronomy when you return in the near future! All the best for your travels in 2020 and I look forward to helping you plan more marvelous Mexico trips! Harriet

Overall despite the 4 points raised above we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, visited lots of places we wanted to, but a shame the guide/company used whilst in Mexico City was rubbish - you should stop using him
The best parts:
Communication was great up until we arrived in Mexico
The worst parts:
Once we got to Mexico it wasn't great - 1. Nobody to meet us on arrival, had to call the office to find out why nobody was there to greet us, then had to wait almost an hour for someone to collect us. 2. 2 of the organised trips in Mexico City were AWEFUL - the guide was clueless, told things as fact that were rubbish, and took us to places NOT on our itinerary, then told us there was little or no time to visit the places we WANTED to see and had paid for - way too much time forced into gift shops we had ZERO interest in - felt ripped off, and abused. 3. Booked a food tour, and was given the completely wrong address to go to in our itinerary - not very helpful in sorting this out, and not very apologetic getting it wrong in the first place. 4. Generally little specific info on travel arrangements during the trip - ie who was picking us up where and when - not helpful, info given was far to vague.
Ivana
Dear Roger, Thank you very much for your feedback and taking the time to write us your opinion! We are glad that you enjoyed your trip which is the most important thing for us. Again we are very sorry that you did not enjoy the group tours in Mexico City. We always tried our best to provide the best possible service but also had issues because you did not read your documents correctly. When you arrived at the airport you simply could not find your driver in the mass of people which can definately be challenging in Mexico City. When you called we sortet that out immediately. You did not have to wait 1 hour, with all my respect but that is not true, you waited only 10 minutes. When to go where and who to meet where was very clearly written on your vouchers that we have asked you to read again several times! At several occasions the answer was right in front of you in your documents! The critics that you did not visit things that where in your itinerary is not correct as you have visited everything as stated but just not in the time you personally wanted. Some clients are fine with only spending one hour in the anthropological Museum and other want to stay an entire day. In group tours it is not possible to decide how long you want to stay. We have tried to explain you that several times without success. Your itinerary stated very clearly that you need patience with small groups and that they make stops at souvernir shops. We also state very clearly that we reserve the right to make any amendments to the itinerary as long as the amendments are not essential to the rest of the tour. So, if there is traffic or any other issues, the guide is free to change the route as long as the basic activities are not missed out. If we do not have the choice of adapting to traffic you would stay half of the day in the bus instead of making a break and visiting something extra. Our goal is always that you have the most pleasant experience during your trip. It was always clear - in the itinerary, in your booking confirmation and in your vouchers - that you booked the two tours in small groups, there was no surprise and no hiding from our side. Please understand that we cannot give you a private tour which is tailor-made to your needs and desires at the same price as a small group tour. During the planning phase we told you several times that we recommend to book a private guide. You refused as it was too expensive. So unfortunately there was not much more we could have done. We are glad that you did enjoy 12 of 15 days of your trip and that you did like Mexico! That is the most important thing, that all the rest went very well and you flew home with also good memories. All the best to you!! Sincerely, Verena

We spent a week in Mexico in and around Valladolid, Mérida and ended our trip with a relaxing stay on Holbox Island. I loved being able to explore the cenotes (cavernous fresh water swimming holes), Mayan archeological sites and the Rio Lagartos water reserve during the afternoon and return back to the city of Valladolid or Mérida in the evening for a tasty meal of authentic Mayan cuisine. It was a perfect mix of outdoor adventure, food and culture. We met many friendly people along the way...we made efforts to communicate as much as possible in Spanish and it completely enriched our travel experience. A truly unforgettable trip!
The best parts:
We loved swimming in the cenotes, eating all of the delicious Mexican food and exploring the Mayan ruins Uxmal, Chichen Itza and Ek Balam.
The worst parts:
Everything was perfect!
Charlotte
Hola Contentinthe Yucatan, thank you so much for taking the time to write such lovely feedback. I am over the moon that you had such a great trip in Mexico. You really did visit some of the most beautiful spots in the Yucatán Peninsula - Holbox is by far one of my favorite places to visit for some relaxation! It's great that you were able to try some local food, meet some wonderful people and speak some Spanish during your travels! It was an absolute pleasure to help you plan your trip, you were both such wonderful customers. If you ever find yourselves planning a trip to Mexico again, I would love to show you more of what this beautiful country has to offer. All the best from sunny Mérida, Harriet

We had a lot of programs we did for the first time in our lives: - floating down on a Maya canal in the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve - dive in the Grand cenoté - to participate in the urban fiesta in Merida - see the Palm sunday procession and the fantastic flower carpets in Antigua Guatemala - staying 20 meters from the lava flow on the Pacaya volcano - to explore the Mayan world
The best parts:
Simply everything. The local partner agency and especially our personal travel advisor Ivana have made a perfect job. During the organization, she found a solution to all our wishes. The hotels were chosen very carefully, all close to the attractions. All of the accommodation was special (beach bungallo, chalet in the jungle, hacienda with the inner garden ... etc). All tour guides were very kind and calm, and most of all they were careful about the exact arrival. We've got a lot of extra information about each of their cities, people, habits, and natural attractions. Ivana has escorted our journey and has always been notified in time if we had to prepare for any change or problem.
The worst parts:
the bad thing is that it is over
Ivana

Generally a fantastic insight ot the Yucatan area and all of the visited locations and detinations were exceptional and, only with the exception of the Hotel P**** C*****, the whole trip was more than enjoyable, informative and educational.
The best parts:
Overall the trip was fantastic, except for that referenced in the 'worst part' below: In particular our driver/guide, Jorge A.V, who drove us throughout our trip was exceptional. He was very informative, helpful and ensured our safety throughout our trip. He went out of his way, well beyond that normally expected, to ensure that our trip was totally enjoyable.
The worst parts:
The Hote P**** C*****, 27th March 2019, very disappointed with this accommodation! Considering the overnight cost the staff were surly, unhelpful and uniformative, surpisingly no one had any level of english for provision of information. The food was disappointing, especially the breakfast. Overall we would not recommend this venue at all!
Charlotte
Hi Victoria and Neil, Thank you so much for taking some time to tell us about your trip. It's really great that you had a fantastic time exploring the Yucatán Peninsula. I will pass on your comments to your driver Jorge who will be very happy to hear that you enjoyed your trip with him. I'm sorry to hear about your experience at the hotel P***** C****. We usually receive good reviews about this hotel so we will be taking your comments into consideration and doing everything possible to improve the service we provide down in Calakmul. It was an absolute pleasure to assist with your trip planning! Best wishes, Harriet

I was in Mexico for 5 weeks, arriving in Guadalajara and then working my way down to Tulúm, visiting Guanajuato, Querétaro, Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca, San Cristóbal de las Casas and Mérida on the way. Every city had a unique feel and character so it’s hard to say which are better than others. I traveled alone, caught the excellent buses between towns and stayed in good to excellent hotels. I did a mixture of group day tours and just wandering around to see places.
The best parts:
Being in the buzz of the streets, the colour and activity, there always seemed to be something going on - music, markets, and endless movement. The food, eating fresh tortillas was a real treat. The ruins were fascinating and the history very compelling- even just scratching the surface like this was really interesting.
The worst parts:
Not much. More vegetables food wise would have been nice, as the food is good but very energy dense. My lack of Spanish, as English is not widely spoken even in touristy areas.
Ivana
Hi Lachlan, Thank you very much for your feedback on your extensive trip through Mexico! This will hopefully encourage other people to travel solo through our beautiful country aswell! It was lovely meeting you in Querétaro and we hope you come back for some fresh tortillas! Muchos saludos, Verena

Fron Cancun to Mérida (stop at Chichen Itza and Vallodolid) - road triping around Mérida for a week - Mérida to Akumal (Stop at Coba) - Beach front Akumal for a week - Akumal to Cancun.
The best parts:
The mayan food and culture, snorkeling with turtles and pick up shells with the kids!
The worst parts:
The outside temperature when visiting ruins was really too hot for the kids...
Charlotte
Hi Nico and Marie, Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm really happy that you had a fantastic time on your trip. Snorkeling with the turtles in Akumal is certainly a highlight and I'm glad your children enjoyed this part of the experience. You're right, it can be really hot when visiting some of the archeological sites. We do usually recommend visiting these sites as early as possible but we understand this can be hard to manage with young children, especially if they are not used to this climate! Thank you again for choosing our local agency. It was a pleasure to help you plan your trip to Mexico and I'm glad you had a lovely time. Best wishes from sunny Mérida, Harriet

We really enjoyed Oaxaca, Puebla & Mérida. The beaches in Tulum, despite the weather were very beautiful & we had lots of sunshine throughout our trip, cool in Mexico City & Oaxaca, hot in Puebla & Mérida.
The best parts:
We had a really great time,we met our driver on the second day,& from the beginning we knew we would be in safe hands. He was really helpful, courteous & considerate. A good careful driver he was always cheerful ,well dressed & despite our lack of Spanish he made every effort to understand our needs & spoke sufficient English to make himself understood. The trip was very well organised by Ivana & we really liked most of the places we visited. All the hotels we chose were absolutely perfect for our needs, our hotel in Puebla which was outstanding in every way & highly recommended. We ate some very good food in Mexico & the whole trip exceeded our expectations. The friendliness of the Mexican people really helped us have a most enjoyable, interesting & relaxing holiday.
The worst parts:
The very heavy traffic congestion.in Mexico City & in most of the towns we visited, the crowds & poor condition of the Chichen Itza site in comparison to the others we visited. The weather in Tulum was a little disappointing, very windy & the sea was far too rough to swim in. The seaweed problem was very much in evidence but our stretch of beach was kept in near perfect condition by a team of 6 who worked tirelessly to remove it all day, thanks to the perfect beach hotel.
Ivana
Hola Geoffrey y muy buenos dias, Thank you so much for taking the time and giving us a detailled feedback!! We were very happy to hear that the service exceeded your expectations. We transfered it to your driver, who was very happy to have done this trip with you! He loved that you were open for new experiences! Mexico City is indeed challenging and the traffic is just horrible. We absolutely agree on that. It is so big that this is unfortunately not managable. Concerning the seaweed in Tulum, this is also very sad, as the caribean coast of Mexico has suffered from that problem the entire last year. The hotels and the governement are trying very hard to solve the problem so that we can enjoy the beauty of those beaches again. We would love to have you back in Mexico and show you more of the beautiful country. The West Coast is yet to be discovered ;-) Thank you for choosing our local agency! We were very happy to have you!! All the best for you two! Muchos saludos Ivana

Mexico City very interesting, and so were the Mayan ruins. worth going to both
The best parts:
The ruins and the beach at Tulum
The worst parts:
1. the food - lots of indigestion from the oil used 2. mexican hotels don't understand the concept of 'a room which is quiet at night time' - disappointed that our local travel agent didn't get this right for us 3. the location of the hotel in Mexico City was not great, and the hotel in Merida needs to improve - its breakfast was poor, its attitude was 20-years out of date. again, disappointed with our local travel agent. Anyone can chose badly over the internet, the point of using a local agent is to get better choices
Ivana
Hi Michael, Thank you very much for your feedback and the different inputs as they always help us to improve our services. We will definately take them into account for the future. I am glad that you liked Tulum and the beautiful beaches! I must admit that I was very surprised to read your negative feedback. During the travel preparation we have discussed the different hotel options and agreed on the hotels together. During the entire trip we have not heared anything from you so assumed that everything was according to your desires. The food in Mexico can indeed be challenging, I agree on that. I am sorry that you has such a bad experience. As far as hotels are concerned, we have asked our hotels for quiet rooms but as I told you before they are subject to availability. In general, Mexico is a colorful country and the people enjoy life which often leads to much noise on the streets. Merida especially is a little city where much of the activity is on the street! The hotels are colonial style hotels that have very special caracter. Sometimes it can look like dated 20 years ago, but they are all carefully selected. As I said, we have asked the hotels for quiet rooms but this can never be guaranteed. That you are disappointed with us, does hurt me a little bit as we have never heared anything from you during your trip. You recieved an emergency phone number from our company where you could have contacted us everytime. I cannot change anything that I am not aware of. Concerning the hotel in Mexico City and its location being 'not great'. It would be great if you could explain us your concernes more into detail. As the city is very big we want to make sure to put our clients in hotels that are accessible and safe. Your hotel was in one of the safest areas and there are restaurants and bars closed by. It is a popular area! Mexico City is always and everywhere noisy! 25 Million people live in the city which of course creates noise and traffic. We cannot change anything about that. I have done my very best to respect your budget and all wishes. January is high season which also means that it is louder than usual because the hotels are booked out! Choosing a local travel agent doesn't mean that I can offer 5 Star hotels for 3 Star prices. I am very sorry that you feel this way and still hope that you will visit our beautiful and colorful country again some day. I wish you all the best Saludos Ivana

I requested an itinerary of three high volcanoes; my God not only did a superb job of guiding me to end up of these, he added a couple innovative extra excursions, always very much appreciated.
The best parts:
Excellent guide on the peak climbs, in every category.
The worst parts:
Distance from hotel in Malinalco to climb of Toluca: 21/2 hours one way. Malinalco Hotel however was excellent. Hampton Hotel Mexico City was charming, nice location.... but shower and bath did not function.
Ivana
This was a very specialized trip and I´m glad to hear our mountain climbing guide was able to surpass your expectations and help make some wonderful memories on Mexico´s volcanoes. Muchos saludos and thank you very much for your feedback!

We travelled to; Mexico City, Puebla, Guadalajara, Merida, Chichen Itza and Tulum and found they all offered a different insight into Mexican history. culture and modern day life. Seeing the Diego Rivera murals was a pivotal moment. The Dia de Muertos preparations, shrines and processions were fascinating and exciting. The magnificence of Chichen Itza. The beautiful colonial buildings everywhere and the welcoming friendliness of the people without the demanding persistence of street sellers experienced elsewhere. Finally the R & R of a wonderful beach resort for three days where nothing was too much for the hotel staff.
The best parts:
The art, the colour, the people, the architecture, the diversity and the food.
The worst parts:
The poverty in the countryside and the suburbs of the cities and towns.
Ivana
Hi Phil and Hil, Thank you very much for the lovely feedback. A very big thank you also for the great pictures. They are wonderful!! We are very glad that you had such a great time in Mexico!! How lovely that you flew back with a lot of new memories!! Although you have visited a lot, if you do think of coming back to Mexico we would be very happy to welcome you again. Friends
It was the first time for both of us in Mexico and we have indeed very nice memories from it. We were very lucky the fall on local celebrations in Oaxaca and in the indigenous village of San Juan Chamula in Chiapas. Mexico is a place worth visiting as it combines local culture, ancient history, natural environment, gastronomy and music. We used local transport for moving from one area to the next one, and that was safe and comfortable.
The best parts:
Our 16 days trip in August 2018 involved an itinerary from Mexico City to Oaxaca, San Cristobal, Palenque, Campeche, Merida and Playa del Carmen. Therefore we had the chance to meet various places, culture and people from the areas we passed. The most impressive parts were the celebration events of Asuncion de Maria on 15th August in Oaxaca, a ceremony of Mayas in the highlands of Chiapas, the Pyramids of Teotihuacán, Palenque, Chichén Itzá and Uxmal, Oaxaca and San Cristobal city centres, a traditional marriage celebration we fall on by chance in Oaxaca, the petrified limestone waterfalls of Hierve el Agua, the waterfalls of Agua Azul and a cenote Ik Kil near Chichén Itzá where we had the chance to take a refreshing dip, the Cañon del Sumidero and the Sian Kaan natural park near Tulum. We also enjoyed the traditional food especially in Oaxaca, the local markets in San Cristobal and Oaxaca, the traditional music of Mariachi especially in Garibaldi square in Mexico City and the beaches and snorkelling in Caribbean coast.
The worst parts:
We cannot mention any parts that we disliked; apart from some awkward situation we had in Mexico City wit the local taxi drivers. Also, some of our tours were mixed with English and Spanish speaking participants and the guided tour was bilingual but mainly in Spanish.
Ivana
Hola Theodora y Sofia, Thank you girls so much for the wonderful feedback!!! It was so lovely to read it!! The pictures came out great!!! You were truly incredible and very open hearted clients! We were happy to welcome you!! Since its such a big country, we of course hope to welcome you back!! Muchos saludos Ivana
