Outside of the Mexican capital, you can move around on foot in almost all of the cities in the country. Make sure to keep informed about the security conditions with regard to the quarters which you are likely to go through and put out of your mind the idea of nighttime.

The ideal for this type of urban travel is to chose a taxi. For certain people it isn't the cheapest form of transport but it's without doubt the safest. All the same only use official taxis. Without wanting to alarm you, a number of cases involving emergency calls have been heard of in the city.

In the Mexican capital, the metro is equally fast, very practical and very economical. This last option is ideal to help discover the marvels of the city at your own liberty. Even there, be sure of the quarters you want to enter.

Between two cities

To travel between two cities during your trip to Mexico, the most popular and the most used by the local population is without doubt the bus. When faced with long distances and journeys which can sometimes last hours, Mexico has made available buses which are very easy and comfortable to use. So it has to be said that this comfort has a cost but the bus still remains very practical when you have sufficient time to play with. Be aware that despite everything, if you have the intention of crossing the entire country and travelling a lot, note the risk of quickly moving about; things can very quickly grow steep.

If you have a little time before you, the ideal would be to fly. The different cities are generally well set up and a plane will mean you can save precious time. The appearance of new low-cost companies has led to the lowering of fares and there is no need to hesitate and compare prices. Some prices can become very interesting according to the season.
