This National Park in the centre of Tanzania is the country's second largest behind the Serengeti National Park. The wildlife there is very wild and the savanna enchanting landscapes. It is famous for its elephant population.
My suggestion:
Go there during the dry season, it's only during this period that you'll be able to see a large concentration of elephants, but also all the other bush animals that are traveling increasingly more to find water.
Summary:
Even the regular tourists to African safaris will be amazed by the Ruaha National Park. Firstly because in Tanzania, the size of park is incomparable, there are no barriers and areas are really wild, but also because it has a rich wildlife.
Specifically in this park, people come to see the migration of elephants, who here are not obstructed by barriers as they are in many African countries. The Valley of the Ruaha River, which gave its name to the park, is becoming the region's only source of water, attracting between 10,000 and 12,000 elephants!
I was there at that time, the spectacle is incredible. It's a magic moment. A true pilgrimage! In the park I enjoyed the range of antilopes (for example I discovered black hippotragus that I had never seen elsewhere). All these gathered prey attract many predators, and here people aren't fighting one another to see the large cats: they are everywhere! Especially groups of hyenas, cheetahs and lone leopards. It's a perfect habitat for them and there is an unobstructed view.
