At 5895 m in height, Kilimanjaro is the African continent's highest summit. Whether from the air (in a plane) or from the ground when attempting its ascent, it draws the eye irresistibly.

My suggestion:
When flying from Dar es Salaam to Arusha, ask for a seat on the right of the plane so that you can admire Kilimanjaro's snow-capped cone. It is wise to take an extra day to get acclimatized when attempting its ascent.
Summary:

Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, or standing in front of the famous green sign indicating the mountain's 5895 m height – whatever photo you choose to take, it will very likely come to symbolize your trip to Tanzania.

Kilimanjaro, a gift from Queen Victoria to her grandson, the emperor Wilhelm II, is the aim, and 30,000 trekkers entertain that same dream. Everyone feels like collapsing to their knees at the large green sign indicating the 5895 m height. Only 55% make it there.

To give yourself the best chance, I recommend carefully comparing the different agencies, and choose your ascent route well. Marangu is very busy; Umbwe is wild and unspoiled, though difficult; and Lemosho is the longest. When I made my successful ascent, I followed the Machame route, which lets you better acclimatize to the altitude. The terrain around it is more varied. It's my favorite route. In brief, Kilimanjaro is an essential place to see when visiting Tanzania.
