Tazaghart is an example of a Moroccan town that is rich in arts and crafts. Like Chichaoua, Tazaghart is not only know for its carpets, but also for its famous burnous: a wool coat woven exclusively, according to what I've been told, by the members of the Ourguita tribe: ancient nomads which have now settled.
The Ourguita are well-known for their extremely precise and meticulous work, as well as for the very bright colours that they use. So much so that their burnous and other carpets are fought over, literally, especially in the souks of Marrakech (where their handiwork is fashionable). But don't worry, in Tazenakht, the price of burnous in the souks is still reasonable and you will even have the luxury of having a greater choice of sizes and colours.
