Imlil is a pleasant village in the High Atlas mountains, in the heart of the Jbel Toubkal national park.

My suggestion:
Avoid the months of November and February when a lot of the accommodation is closed.
Summary:

I think Imlil is a necessary stopping point before you climb Toubkal: there is some good accommodation and I found it easy to refresh myself in Imlil and buy basic provisions for my ramble.

There are climbs up to the summit of Toubkal (4,167 metres) every day and, above all, the official guide office is in Imlil, which is reassuring because there are a lot of fake guides in the area. If you want to try Jbel Toubkal then I advise you to leave Imlil early. The walk to Toubkal can take 6 hours!

From Imlil there are two paths that lead to Toubkal: either via Tizi n’Mzik (2,489 metres), or by Aroumd. I loved the route via Tizi n’Mzik. The path is less used and on the way I was able to admire the amazing Irhoulidene waterfalls which I can really recommend.
