Tizi n´Tast (Morocco)

To get to the pass, you have to take the Tizi-n-Test road, dotted with Alep pines and cypress trees. However, this road is also known for being a winding and dizzying track, with great bends. Before reaching the pass, I suffered from migraine a 100 times and felt a 100 times that I was on the edge of the precipice. Delicate constitutions, abstain!

Before reaching the Tizi-n-Test pass, I suggest you spend a few hours visiting the Tin Mal, about twelve miles away. It is a powerful place, cradle of the Almohad dynasty who reigned in Morocco from the 12th to the 13th century. Today, the Tin Mal is still considered an Almohad holy place. You will see the remnants of the city walls and above all an important mosque perched on the mountainside.

Once at Tizi-n-Test pass, you can admire, in complete peace, a panorama worthy of an adventure film : I felt like my hands were caressing the high summits of the Atlas and the Sous Valley.
