One of the most beautiful valleys in Morocco, located in the south of the country.
My suggestion:
Take the time to visit the Musée des Arts et Traditions du Draa which gives a fascinating perspective on the region.
Summary:
In my opinion, the Draa Valley is one of the most beautiful places in the country, indeed, one of the most beautiful places I've ever had the opportunity to see in my life, not to be missed under any circumstance duringa trip to Morocco.
The Draa is the longest river in the country, close to 1,100km long, with its source in the High Atlas and emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. The Draa Valley is approximately 200km long and snakes the length of the river between mountains, desert and oases.
The scenery is absolutely stunning and unique: palm groves as far as the eye can see, stretching out in front of the mountains in the distance, lush fields, oases, isolated villages, traditional pisé ksars and clay kasbahs.

The Drâa Valley stretches from the south-east of Ouarzazate to the Mhamid area, to the edge of the border with Algeria.
My suggestion:
You have to go for the view!
Summary:
I loved my trip through the Drâa Valley: as I left Ouarzazate, I was blown away by the the view that you get along the whole way - a sort of long ribbon of green, carpeted with palm groves with a mixture of ksour and kasbahs all over the place. I cooled off at the Drâa Waterfall, 100 kilometres from Ouarzazate.
If you're only going to stop at one ksar when you're travelling in Morocco, make it the ksar in Tamnougalt. You can see it from a distance, on its rocky promontory. In spite of its poor state of conservation, the ksar still retains the vestiges of interior rooms and corridors.
From Zagora, the landscape becomes arid. There's even a sign there to remind you that "Timbuktu is A 52 day camel ride away"! To the south of Zagora, I recommend the Jebel Zagora with its amazing views over palm groves and the desert. And to the west of Mhamid, the impressive dunes of Chigaga - people come from far and wide to see them.
