Cap Diego is a peninsula located just across the water from the city of Diego-Suarez in northern Madagascar.

My suggestion:
Spend a few hours strolling around and enjoying the views out across the bay.
Summary:

Cap Diego can be reached by either a short boat crossing or a journey by land right around the bay. The first of these two options provides the easiest way to get to the peninsula. Cap Diego has very little in the way of hilly terrain; most of the peninsula is taken up by a grassy plateau, with the baobabs that grow around its edge dominating the scenery around the bay.

The Cap Diego peninsula has for a very long time been a piece of land of strategic military importance, and the French eventually established the town of Diego Suarez here after some deliberation. An aerodrome still exists in the middle of the peninsula today, and there are also rumours of plans to build an international airport. A day is all you need to explore Cap Diego, which you can do via the the little hiking trails that criss-cross it and which take you past the remains of the various military buildings and installations.
