From December to April
I enjoyed my trip to Coro a lot. It's a magnificent and quiet city with unique colonial architecture. I liked to walk in the cobbled streets and admire the buildings with their coloured walls and wooden balconies and windows. It's a city with space and you feel good there. During your trip to Venezuela, I recommend staying two or three days and making the most of them to visit the surrounding area, notably the port, a little further north and also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Medanos de Coro National Park is located just next to the city. It consists partly of beautiful sand dunes. It's nicknamed the little Sahara Desert. I liked the outing and the scenery a lot (very different from the rest of the country). As for the sandboarding, it was fun and in the end, the most difficult part is going back up the slope.
