Adicora is a little seaside village north of Coro, on the Punto Fijo peninsula.

My suggestion:
Go there during the week, as the beach becomes jam-packed quickly at weekends.
Summary:

I quickly realised my mistake in arriving on a Sunday. There are lots of people as Adicora is a much sought-after place by Venezuelans who go there to relax on the weekend and make the most of the beach. Not much space left to put your towel down between the hired parasols and deckchairs. You also quickly learn the need for deckchairs as the beach is windy and the sun beats down. That said, I liked the place a lot; the sea is calm and there's a family atmosphere. I recommend this stopover if you want to go to the beach during your trip to Venezuela.

The city offers accommodation at a reasonable price, which is also a plus. In a very hot region and arriving from Coro and Medanos de Coro National Park, the bathing is extremely pleasant. Adicora is also a flagship destination for lovers of windsurfing and kitesurfing.
