Henties Bay, a small village North of Swakopmund, is well-known as a fishing and holiday spot and mainly for its seal colony.

My suggestion:
Do plan to spend a few hours viewing the incredible sight of thousands of seals grouped in one spot! Be careful not to get too close and to pinch your nose shut should the wind turn in the wrong direction!
Summary:

The day I was there, Henties Bay holiday resort village looked like a ghost town. I must admit that there was a lot of mist and that going out in that weather did not seem worth it. All I can remember about the place is a restaurant with an imposing front and dozens of little holiday houses. In short, not an undying memory, the town serves mainly as a place for well-off, rich Nambians come here to fish, other people go back to Swakopmund some 43 ml away.

Henties Bay is the nearest town to the famous Cape Cross seal colony. And this is really something to behold in Namibia ! If you really need to stop at Henties Bay, why not, but I suggest you still add on the extra 43 ml and stay at Swakopmund when in the region.
