Okahandja is a city which leads to Etosha National Park, practical for a stop on the way there.

My suggestion:
If you're not too solicited, go around the crafts market and discover biltong, a local speciality.
Summary:

I recall very well my stop in Okahandja, during my trip to Namibia, for two reasons. When I arrived in the city with Namibian friends, we stopped at a petrol station to fill up and above all, to stock up on "biltong". Biltong is a type of dried meat which can be found everywhere there. The shop had dozens of varieties of biltong seasonings and meats for sale. I couldn't leave without testing them and, after having tasted them, I became addicted to this snack for the rest of my stay!

Then, at the time when the purchases were dragging on, I wanted to go and see the local crafts market. Unfortunately, upon my arrival, as the sole tourist, I found myself surrounded by a horde of stallholders who all wanted the same thing: to see me stop at their stall and buy things. Goodbye peace and quiet, I cleared off quickly! Otherwise, for the rest, Okahandja is a city like the others in Namibia...
