I loved the charming and enjoyable town of Tafraout, with its almond and olive groves. If you like babouche slippers, or belgha in Moroccan, then head to the souk in the town centre, where you'll find hundreds on display. Babouche slipper production is a Tafraout speciality You'll be spoiled for choice; there were leather ones in yellow for men or red for woman and they were either embroidered or decorated with pompoms. I even found pairs made out of sabra or vegetable silk! A cool, fashionable accessory! You can slip them on when you go out for lunch in a Bedouin tent - some of the town's restaurants have a Bedouin set-up. If you want to continue your exotic quest, then I recommend you tour the outskirts of Tafraout. It's a all-terrain biker's dream, particularly if you head towards the village of Agard Oudad, only 3 kilometres from Tafraout. It's a little village, famous for peculiar, granite rock formations that are scattered across the landscape!
