Amerzri is a stop along the trek through the M'Goun mountains. I'd advise leaving from Rougoult to reach Amezri. With only 14 km between the two, you'd think the journey wouldn't take long, but the narrowness of the path and the climbs of almost 1,000 m mean that the trek can take almost 7 hours. So don't leave yourself too little time, and watch out for steep drops. But the trip is worth it, as the area is superb! I was particularly taken by the Tessaout trail, with its rocky slopes in various greens and greys; at the Tizi n'Rougoult pass (2,860 m), I enjoyed an incredible view over the Jebel Wagraraz and the Jebel Tazoult n’Ouguerd, each finishing more than 3,000 m high. Leaving the Tizi n'Rougoult pass, the path becomes better marked, and the descent begins, winding gradually down towards the village of Tasgaïwalt, 40 minutes from Amezri. Walking gets easy from this point on.
