Erg Chebbi's pink dunes go as far as the little village of Merzouga in the south east of Morocco.

My suggestion

If you arrive in Merzouga watch out for all sorts of cheats, don't give in and remember to bargain. And don't let it spoil this magnificent place!

My suggestion

For me, Erg Chebbi is to be relished in silence. If you arrange a visit with an agency, make sure you get a trip that meets your expectations. Get up at dawn to admire the sunrise from the top of a dune.
