Don't go without a guide. Going to the Jbel Saghro requires a good knowledge of the region. I quickly understood this as the region is harsh with its granite reliefs, crags and other gorges. It is difficult to find your way alone. I took hours to prepare my itinerary. I think that you will remember Jbel Saghro for a long time with its sharp ridges, its long cliff to go along for hours and its steep climbs. The highest points of the Jbel reach more than 2,000 metres. The surroundings are pure beauty. A savage nature with varying reliefs and punctuated by date palms, almond trees and barley and broad bean crops. By car, I could climb up to the Tizi-n-Tazazert pass (2,200 metres) and admire the view over the west of the mountain range. You can even discover Barbary vultures and falcons there, during your <a href="/morocco/">holiday in Morocco</a>. Prepare to camp on site, there isn't a lot of accommodation; indeed you could stay with a local: very appreciated in winter.
