Šolta: a calm, peaceful island where time seems to have come to a standstill.

My suggestion:
One day spent on this timeless island will enable you to rest and recharge your batteries ready to continue with the rest of your trip.
Summary:

If you are looking for an island with a wild, frenzied atmosphere, music playing everywhere you g,o and luxury yachts cruising around the sea in the distance, give this place a miss. Šolta is the exact opposite of all that, which is what makes it so wonderful! A small island lying one hour by boat from Split, Šolta simply invites you to rest, relax and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. The beaches are small and numerous here. And though they are admittedly not fine and sandy, this is more than compensated for by the peace and tranquility of the island itself. When I was wandering my way around Croatia, the day I spent on this island was my favourite day of the entire time I spent in the country.

In short, it is the ideal place to come if you want to spend a day simply enjoying your time on holiday. Eat in one of the restaurants near the harbour and afterwards simple lounge on one of the beaches and enjoy the views. Sailing times from Split change with the seasons; so make sure you check the day before so you can plan your visit properly.
