Bahia State island and beach resort (not be confused with the ghastly city of São Paulo) , Morro is a popular destination, particularly with Argentinians.

My suggestion:
If you get seasick, don't forget your medicine, as the crossing can be rough and brush up on your Spanish - the place is inundated with Argentinians, who live there all year round!
Summary:

Morro de São Paulo, in Bahia, is a fashionable spot, attracting many travelers on vacation in Brazil.

The island's stunning, the beaches amazing and the main village buzzing. There's lots to do in the evenings and the place is full of bars, clubs and beautiful people. To all you party animals, this place is for you. You'll love the nightlife here.

But be warned - it's expensive and jet set.

Even so, there are charming pousadas and the beaches are a great place if you want to unwind.

An island village off the shores of Salvador de Bahia, where relaxing and partying go hand in hand.

My suggestion:
If it's calm you're after, head to the amazing island of Boipeba, a little piece of paradise on earth.
Summary:

Morro de San Paolo is a bit like Brazil's Ibiza. Situated on the island of Tinharé, this place seems to have everything - stunning countryside, water sports and four beaches. The last of these is difficult to reach, which makes it the best! Thanks partly to its nightlife, this is THE place to be in Bahia. But at the same time, don't expect endless rave nights, with DJ's spinning their decks and pumping out electro from dawn 'til dusk; Morro is still just a little village.

For a large number of travelers, Morro de San Paolo is a great place to stay during a trip to northern Brazil. And it has to be said that it's a really pretty place. But I admit, I'm not a huge fan. I found it a bit overrated; when I was there, I saw nothing but hoards of tourists doing the whole 'sun, sea, fun' thing.
