Dai Lanh is a small coastal town situated sixty kilometres north of Nha Trang. It is in my opinion one of the most beautiful beaches in this region of Vietnam.

My suggestion:
I would advise you to combine your stay on Baleine island with exploring Dai Lanh and its beaches.
Summary:

Heading from Dai Lanh to Nha Trang, I had the impression that I was leaving on an expedition. I spent three hours in a fifteen seater minibus with 25 other passengers. But believe me, it is worth seeing. The beach at Dai Lanh is perhaps the only one that is still almost deserted, but I do not know for how long. The town doesn't hold much interest, the main reason to come here is for the surrounding scenery.

South of the town, I went back to the Hon Gom peninsula, a strip of land thirty kilometres long covered in impressive dunes, comparable to Pilat. A somewhat lunar landscape, slightly unreal. I was a little disturbed by the pollution of the area, but this is a problem of the Vietnamese coastline. I enjoyed the hospitality of the people from this region still little visited by tourists to Vietnam.
