The tropical island of Phu Quoc is a little paradise and a great place to recharge your batteries.
My suggestion:
Hire a bike and get out of the area where all the tourists gather!
Summary:
Phu Quoc is a magnificent small island with white sandy beaches and turquoise blue water. Relaxing during my trip, resting, lazing about...that's what I did on Phu Quoc! I went snorkelling, and you can also dive from the islands to the south of Phu Quoc, which I didn't do (a question of money).
I also ate some really good seafood on Phu Quoc , but I don't recommend eating at Duong Dong night market, I was really disappointed. However, the market is cute and makes a very charming evening walk. It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere which I appreciated during my stay there.
I rented a motorbike and toured the island. The roads are good and you can't get lost. It was my favourite part of the trip because you could get to almost empty beaches where the fishermen sold excellent fish! If you want to meet the locals, there's nothing better!

Phu Quoc is the largest Vietnamese island, far from the crowds of tourists. A haven of green sweeping out to sandy beaches, it will delight all nature lovers.
My suggestion:
Hire a motorbike for the few days that you will be staying on the island of Phu Quoc, then you will be free to go where ever you want and to explore hard to reach places.
Summary:
I stayed for three days in Phu Quoc and I loved crossing the island on a motorbike to explore deserted beaches that were more difficult to access. For enthusiasts of underwater discoveries, you will enjoy the incredible reefs thanks to your masks and snorkels. If you wish to, you can visit one of the well known factories, famous for making the celebrated fermented fish sauce "Nuoc Mam" or the pepper plantation at Khu Tuong.
For presevation, 70% of the Island's land has been protected by the Phu Quoc National Park since 2001. This island would be a lovely stopover during your stay in Vietnam. Phu Quoc is still an island paradise far from mass tourism with very relaxing lush vegetation.
