Annapurna Circuit is the best known of Nepal's treks amongst hikers. We were warned that it could get extremely busy, and that turned out to be a pretty accurate description.

My suggestion

Study your map and read your guide carefully before embarking on this trek, and make sure you're fit enough to cope with the long periods of physical effort involved! Because it goes without saying that even though this is a very busy and popular route, it does reach altitudes of over 3,000 metres, and some people will experience ill effects at those kinds of heights.

The Annapurna range dominates the plain of Pokhara. Most of the peaks culminate at more than 6000 metres above sea level and up to 8000 metres for Annapurna I and II.

My suggestion

We can provide various treks in this region. For those who want to go backpacking, one of the advantages of this area is that it is one of the few places where you are not required to have a guide.

My suggestion

A trek in the region is pretty much obligatory! There's a choice of treks, from a few days to nigh-on a month, depending on your fitness level and travel plans. Whatever you choose to do, you won't have any regrets!

We went to the ABC circuit and was one of the most amazing experiences that I ever had. We went at the end of September, when the Monzon season ends and we only had 2 rainy days. We started walking in Naypul to Ghandruk. Ghandruk to Chomrong. Chomrong to Bamboo. Bamboo to Deurali and Deurali to ABC. Really nice views, amazing people and a lot of stairs. Be prepared! We contract the Blue Sheep Agency and was one of the best decisions that we made. 100% recommended!
