Twyfelfontein is a very lovely site,  not to be missed during a trip to Namibia , that has superb rock etchings dating back 2000 to 2500 years, that you can discover in the course of a lovely walk.

On arrival at the Twyfelfontein site , I go to the visitor centre first, where I buy my ticket at the entrance and where a guide awaits me. From there, a short first circuit shows a few etchings, followed by many more scattered all through the park that await me. The Twyfelfontein site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site , hundreds of etchings are scattered on the rocks in the surroundings and it is not easy to locate them, hence the guides to lead us to the right places. It is very rocky, there is hardly any vegetation in the vicinity and you have to climb a bit to reach the loveliest etchings. On the rock face, giraffes, gazelles, rhinoceros, lions are as many moving traces of the first inhabitants of the area.
