Petra, THE destination that all travelers either remember or plan to visit!

My suggestion:
Don't be satisfied with a short trip - spend three days there to get the most from the subtleties of the light and enjoy the evenings.
Petra is often the purpose of a trip to Jordan, and the site justifies a visit to the country in its own right. No matter how much I had read the guides or studied the plans, I could never have appreciated the scale of the place. Only the walk there enabled me to come to terms with it.

Traveling to Jordan is mainly about visiting Petra, a wonderful site, the most spectacular of the country and in fact, the entire Middle East. Petra is an inspirational, mythical name. Exploring it is a magical experience that in itself justifies any visit to Jordan.

My suggestion:
The best time of day to visit Petra is in the early morning. It's a little cooler, while the rays of the rising sun caress the sandstone and give it its superb pink color.
Petra is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and its beauty indisputable. It is a unique wonder of the world and deserves a visit to Jordan in its own right. Arriving here was like being immersed in the world of my childhood heroes. All along the enchanting valley of the River Siq, I encountered the landscapes that I had dreamed of when reading Tintin comic books or watching Indiana Jones movies. And this time, I was the explorer!
