Ceasarea is one of the most important archaeological sites in Israel.

My suggestion:
The site is quite spread out and very interesting. Having said that, leave a bit of time to go to the beach next to it, because that's where you'll find the Roman aqueduct and it's one of the most beautiful in the country.
Summary:

Ceasarea is an archaeological site which contains ruins from the Greek, Roman and Crusading eras in the same place. So you can see how important it is! When I went there I wasn't expecting it to be so large and so rich. And in addition, Ceasarea has the only underwater museum in the world. You can visit the town's underwater ruins by diving on them which is an incredible experience.

Besides the national park which contains most of the ruins, there are also some beautiful mosaics and a Roman aqueduct. Therefore, it's better to go to Ceasarea by car because then you can reach everything there is to be seen.

During the high season, a little van selling food puts out tables and chairs on the sand of the beach. During my trips to Israel, I love eating breakfast overlooking the sea before going to visit the archaeological site or going swimming.
