Many people know Jökulsárlón and Fjallsárlón is somewhat like its little brother, a lake that reveals the grandiose sight of pieces of ice fallen from the glacier and come adrift. Located close to one another, I must say that I myself never really paid attention to the difference in name while on my first visit, so absorbed was I in contemplating this enchanting scene.
If Fjallsárlón has a similar landscape to Jökulsárlón, the place is more quiet as many tourists go to the latter but not the former during their Iceland tour. I like to walk alongside the lake and be lulled by the sole cracking of the ice.
Of course, if you like photography, this is paradise. Whenever I spend the night around here, I generally come back in the evening at sunset to immortalise the moment!
