A village of fishermen on the slope of the cliff, with a beautiful pebble beach, steep cliffs and an excellent coffee to regain strength after the stroll...

My suggestion:
Don't hesitate to stroll along the cliffs but, be careful as some land is private and access is forbidden!
Summary:

Hellnar, this little hamlet consisting of a few houses,in the southern Snaefellsnes peninsula, has lots of charm. I love to arrive there by car and admire the view of the sea and the cliffs which tower up opposite me.

Very often, visitors to Iceland only drop down to the pebble beach, buy a hot chocolate in the little cafe located there, in the middle of the elements, and leave again. As for me, I always stay and stroll around; I love to watch the waves which come crashing onto the black stone and the rocky formations, notably the arch which dominates the landscape and where the birds come to twirl around in total freedom.

But, after my wanderings on the edge of the cliff, I do exactly as everybody else does and I go to warm up inside this charming little cafe which gives this place all its life. And, whilst lots of tourists stop there, it's often Icelandic families who visit Hellnar at the weekend!
