Sometimes renamed "Little Iceland", Snaefellsnes Peninsula concentrates all the different landscapes that can be seen in Iceland.

My suggestion:
You can go directly to Snaefellsnes on your arrival in Reykjavik, because it doesn't take long to get there and the place is well served by public transport.
Summary:

Snefellsnes National Park is very popular with tourists today. Its undisputed attraction is the Snaefellsjökull, which owes its fame not only to its beauty but also to the fact that it is where Jules Verne situated the entrance to the centre of the planet in his novel "Journey to the Centre of the Earth".

In any case, it is in Snaefellsnes that I saw some of the most beautiful scenery of my stay in Iceland. The region is rural and overhung by a series of volcanic peaks, which adds to the enchanting atmosphere of the place. I also really liked the coast, which alternates between vast beaches of sand and pebbles and steep volcanic cliffs. The region also has some very nice little fishing villages that I recommend you visit.
