Peguche is a pretty country village 5 km from Otavalo in the north of Ecuador. It's the departure point for a really enjoyable walk.

Inti Raymi on 21st June is a beautiful festival that is sacred to the Indians in the region.

My suggestion

On foot you can loop round from Otavalo, past "El Lechero", then the waterfall and finally the vilage. A really nice walk, off the beaten track!
