Located in north eastern Hunan Province, the city and prefecture of Zhangjiaji is best known for its superb national park and forest.

Summary:

Together with the Tianzi Mountains and the Suoxi Valley, the national park forms the Wulingyan Region, classified as a site of outstanding beauty and historic interest by UNESCO.

Extremely popular with Chinese visitors, Zhangjiaji National Park and the surrounding area are certainly worthy of a few days of your time during a visit to China. In fact, the park hosts a surprising biodiversity, several endangered animal species, rare trees, rivers and, the star attraction, a a forest made up of hundreds of karst peaks to create a unique landscape. Multiple itineraries are on offer for hiking enthusiasts, who can choose between conquering the park solo or in the company of a local guide.
