Zhujiajiao is one of China's most famous water towns.

My suggestion:
A great way to explore Zhujiajiao is to take a canal tour. As everyone will tell you, it's the best way to immerse yourself in the sleepy ambiance of this village.
Summary:

This ancient town is over 1,700 years old. It's home to both Ming and Qing Dynastry remains.

You'll be seduced by its charm the moment you arrive! Narrow streets, old houses, pretty waterfronts on which to relax, traditionally constructed bridges, gardens, ancient street stalls that still sell fabrics, spices and tasty, local treats... It's the perfect place to escape. Zhujiajiao has also been used as a movie set by several directors. Some must-sees are the Fangsheng Bridge, the Kezhi Garden, its Qing Dynasty Post Office and the Beidajie road.
