Hasankeyf is in south-eastern Turkey, a very small city containing numerous natural and human wonders. Associated with a rich, ancient history, the diverse geological and archaeological particularities definitely make this village a place to visit. You must visit Hasankeyf as quickly as possible, because a dam project will soon completely cover this little gem.

Classed under World Heritage by Unesco for its numerous Ottoman houses, Safranbolu has conserved the charm of its old cities. Famous for its saffron, it is pleasant to wander its paved streets, to admire its aqueduct or to go and explore the caves of Bulak, nearby.

Trabzon has 1 million inhabitants and is one of the biggest cities on the Black Sea. It has an atmosphere all its own, nothing like any other towns in the country. Historically it was a commercial port on the old Silk Road, so the town has always been a mix of cultures and religions. Today <strong>Trabzon has a slightly shady feeling to it</strong>, which I quite liked, especially as under its somewhat shabby air it hides some wonderful sites like the old church of Aya Sofia, its old historic center, and its beautiful fortifications.

Trabzon is an industrial town in the north of Turkey, near Georgia, and on the Black Sea coast. I had only just arrived here where I saw, for the first time in my life, a school of dolphins swimming and jumping together.
