A small Anatolian town located in Çorum Province, Alaca has little of interest to offer the traveller.
My suggestion:
As in the rest of the region, the town of Alaca is quite a conservative place, which means it's difficult to find alcohol or places to go to enjoy some nightlife.
Summary:
A small town of around 20,000 inhabitants, Alaca is practically indistinguishable from most of the other little towns we can observe through the windows of the bus taking us from Ankara to the east of the country along the roads of Anatolia. The small, dusty center of the town contains a few local butchers and bakers; its suburbs are preindustrial in nature; and the unoccupied inhabitants spend their time sitting at tables on the cafe terraces watching the traffic go by. Alaca would therefore appear to be a place of fairly limited interest, especially with the region containing relatively few noteworthy tourist sites.
