Kayseri is known as the entry to Cappadocia. Not well known to tourists, it is famous for its numerous Ottoman monuments. There are more than 200 mosques in Kayseri.

My suggestion:
I think one day is enough for visiting the center of Kayseri.
Summary:
I spent a few days at Kayseri during my trip to Turkey - I was CouchSurfing, so was staying with two Turkish brothers. Some good advice Among other things, the town has a tourist route mapped on the sidewalks, so tourists can follow a pleasant route without getting lost.

A large city mainly of interest as a winter sports destination.

My suggestion:
With its lack of tourists, the bazaar here is nice, but you really need to head for the mountains for something to feast your eyes on.
Summary:
Kayseri has manged to achieve the difficult feat of being both a city of considerable size and at the same time a place sadly lacking in interest. There is little point denying it: the main reason for visiting this godforsaken place can be seen in the background as you arrive on the freeway: Mount Erciyes, the fascinatingly beautiful mountain located near Kayseri. When covered in winter snow, it provides a spectacular sight in the rather flat landscapes of Cappadocia, and its vertiginous slopes make it ideal for skiing.
