Transfer time: 45 minutes
Today, you and your family can either relax by the pool in your hotel or step out onto the beautiful beaches of Negombo before you start your tour.
Free time all day
After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel and driven to Sigiriya, the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. From here, you'll visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which contains the ruins of an ancient civilisation, thought to be once the epicentre of the short-lived kingdom of Kassapa with spellbinding vistas across mist-wrapped forests.
Transfer time: 4 hours
After breakfast, get ready for another visit back in time to the fascinating, ancient complex of Anuradhapura, home to multiple archaeological and architectural wonders. If there's ever a moment to feel like Indiana Jones, it's here, where your kids will weave between dagobas, temples, and ruins over 7,000 years old.
Transfer time: 1.5 hours
On the agenda for today: the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. After a private guided tour, you'll get to enjoy a delicious lunch at a family-run restaurant in which all of the ingredients are sourced from the local area. After this, you can either head back to your hotel, or explore the town on your own.

Today, you and your family will travel towards the hill country of Sri Lanka; Kandy. En route, you'll stop off at Dambulla Cave Temples, comprised of five separate caves containing around 150 absolutely stunning Buddha statues and paintings - some of Sri Lanka's most important and evocative religious art!
Transfer time: 30 minutes
After breakfast, you and your family will set off on a short ride to the world-famous Kandy Temple, home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic - a must-see site for any visitor to Sri Lanka.
Transfer time: 15 minutes
From Kandy, you and your family will take a train towards the hills of Nuwara Eliya. Often referred to as ‘Little England’, this genteel highland community has a rose-tinted, vaguely British-country-village feel to it, with its colonial-era bungalows, Tudor-style hotels, well-tended hedgerows, and pretty gardens.
Journey time: 2.40 hours
Today, you'll have an early start ready for a day of wildlife-spotting. After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Horton Plains where you and your family can enjoy a jeep safari in the national park.
