Masuria, called "the country of a thousand lakes" in Poland, is located in the far north-east of the country.

My suggestion:
If you can, don't hesitate to spend a few days in different parts of the region; the atmosphere is so magical that you won't regret having a little time in front of you.
Summary:

The landscapes of Masuria are amongst the most typical images which you'll be able to bring back from your stay in Poland. These thousands of lakes and endless pine forests are the images which immediately come into my head when I think of Poland.

I explored several places in this region and it was always the same peacefulness and the same wild beauty. The territory is vast and dotted with lakes (more than 3,000), often linked by canals. In summer, numerous Polish people head to Masuria as they think that this is one of the most beautiful regions in the country.

The activities are numerous: hiking, mountain-biking, fishing and boating. Moreover, you can go round one lake to another in a small boat, like an exploration, which I perhaps liked the most.
