The Los Nevados National Natural Park crosses four of Colombia's departments: Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío and Tolima.

My suggestion:
Remember to wrap up warm, as temperatures can vary between a mild 15°C and a chilly 5°C.
Summary:

Head to the Coffee Triangle if you want to explore Colombia's third most popular park after the Rosario and San Bernando and Tayrona National Parks. The Los Nevados National Natural Park is situated in Colombia's mid-west and stretches across 58,000 hectares.

As opposed to the aforementioned parks, the Los Nevados National Natural Park isn't a seaside 'paradise'. You won't find white sands, palm trees and turquoise waters. But you will find a moutainous landscape and the 5,300m high Nevado del Ruiz Volcano, which towers over its surrounding hills and forests. The park is famous for its incredible biodiversity, with wildlife including the white-capped parrot, pudu deer and the spectacled bear, as well as indigenous plants and tropical glaciers.

You can climb the volcano, but bear in mind you'll need to be motivated and in good physical condition, as the park sits at a high altitude. Alternatively you can take a four-wheel drive vehicle up to 4,300m, from where you can do short hikes around the snowy summits. You'll get a stunning 360° view of the park below! Finally, make sure you visit the Otún and Verde Lagoons.
