Perched at 3,500m in the Hengduan Mountains, Deqin sits on the Chinese/Burmese/Indian border. It's the last town in Yunnan before you cross into the Tibet Autonomous Region.

About 30 kilometers south of Guiyang, in the province of Guizhou, Qingyan village gets its name from Mont Qingyan which means "green cliff" or "green rock".

Yandi is a pretty village about 50km from Guilin, in Guangxi Province.
Lugu Lake, which lies at an altitude of 2,685 m on the border between Yunnan and Sichuan, is 40 meters deep and 48 square kilometers in area.
On the border of the Yunnan and Sichuan Chinese Provinces, the clear waters of Lake Lugu are bordered by dozens of traditional villages including Baojiahe, a mountain settlement.
Daju is a small town located in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, inYunna Province. Fans of trekking and walking are sure to be charmed by this village in the Haba Mountains, on the east bank of the Yangtse River.
Nestled at an altitude of 3800 m and 300 km from Lhasa, Shigatse is the second city of the autonomous prefecture of Tibet .
Shuhe is in the north-west of Yunnan province, not far from Lijiang - both the old towns are listed as UNESCO sites - at the foot of the snow capped Jade Dragon Mountain.
The village of Yuhu lies at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and is the last village in the Lijiang Valley.
Situated in Yunnan Province, this alpine village sits at 3,000m and is accessible only by foot or a barely passable piste.
The city of Huangshan lies in the southern part of Anhui Province, around 500 km west of Hangzhou and 400 km southwest of Shanghai.
Mount Tianmen, which in Chinese means "the mountain that is the door to heaven" is in the north west of Hunan.
